Welcome to Music Makers Piano Lab

Music education has far reaching benefits for both children and adults.  For children, it fosters academic achievement as well as social and emotional development.    In addition, the benefits of music education for adults includes improved quality of life by relieving stress and improving the brain’s cognitive function.  It is our goal to help our students develop and hone their ability to innovate, communicate and collaborate.  All of this is achievable through music education.

The Lab

For nearly 40 years, Music Makers Piano Lab has been a part of the community of Dekalb County, training children, teens and adults in the art of making music.  Since relocating from Decatur to Stone Mountain in 2017,  Music Makers continues to successfully merge technology (computers, tablets, digital pianos/keyboards) and various piano teaching techniques to provide a fun and engaging music program.   Small class sizes allows students to receive individualized instruction as well as the opportunity to interact in a group setting.
